Since
Seven Passes began operating the level of youth
involvement in crime in the area has reduced.

Several
high school students have improved their grades
through participating in the homework clubs and
extra classes.

At the end
of 2008 the Initiative was able to assist the
daughter of farm worker to be accepted into the
Schematus bridging course at Stellenbosch
University. She successfully completed her bridging
year and is going on to study medicine at
Stellenbosch during 2010.

The
student who for two years running has received an
award from Seven Passes for consistent attendance of
homework club classes has been accepted at
Potchefstroom University and will commence her first
year studying law in 2010.

During the
December 2008 and 9 school holiday we provided
on-going activities for youth including: drama,
music, sport and educational outings.
